Band of Horses - Everything all the time

Ohh man, this album is a true gem. You know you're onto a winner when you can just put an album straight on the first track and instantly you feel the mood of the first riff. It just pulls you in, 'the first song' , that first 20 or so seconds is just magic, I mean, as is the track but it just makes me want to stop what I'm doing and just kinda dream, sit and forget. I don't know, Every time I listen to this album, I don't skip anything, I would change it at all. It's just got this amazing mellow warm sound.

TRACK LIST:

1. The First Song
2. Wicked Gil
3. Our Swords
4. The Funeral
5. Part One
6. The Great Salt Lake
7. Weed Party
8. I Go to the Barn Because I Like The
9. Monsters
10. St. Augustine

Again, the bold italic denoting the standout tracks, though this one is just a stellar lineup anyway!

'Our Swords' is short and sweet, 'Monsters' is just a bit of a play with a banjo that is nothing short of magic, it's quite slow to start, but builds up to a wonderfull ballad, you kind of get lost in it, which is kind of the theme towards the end, but I won't spoil it for you!

They'd certainly saved the best for last. This ones really a tear jerker, 'St Augustine'. Some straight out amazing vocal tones over this delicate melody, something about it just cuts you down! I've had a few recent changes in my life that have led to some pretty emotional changes, this album, to me, feels like a bit of a scrapbook of where I've been the last few months. When I put it on I think of that time.

Listen to it with some port or a warm drink, in winter, probably in bed with headphones, and you'll be amazed at what this collection of tracks will bring out of you.

Enjoy this one guys.

Bah, finally back once again!

Hey good people of the internet!

Ohh man it's been a while, a long long while, but I'm thinking I'm going to give this a bit more of a crack! More random album finds, more interesting albums I've found that you'd hopefully like too. Over the time I've been away from blogger I've found some great stuff. So hopefully you'll like the first of many more!
